Superb! We've been there twice and both times the food and service were excellent. The restaurant is in a non-descript stripmall, but once you walk in, you see wonderful bright walls and an immaculate restaurant. The wait staff are very friendly and enthusiastic---as they should be--the food they're serving is terrific!

OK...given the recent buzz about this place--plus my love of Thai food--I had to find Nong's! We did, for lunch Friday and found it quite good. The knowledge of preparation is very evident, skill level high and service very good.

Food quality is driven by absolutely fresh ingredients and even on the lunch buffet [a great deal!] fresh food constantly is refreshed on the serving bar.

Really tasty, not heavy. Fresh and flavorful. Highly recommended!

In early July, they will be able to serve beer and wine. Perfect!

Great, authentic, clean, smartly decorated, good value. I have been once a week since they opened, and I have not been disappointed. Owners are very friendly and food is really good. Keep up the good work!

We ate here a few weeks back on a Friday night and now consider it one of the best Thai restaurants in the Twin Cities! The owner Paul and his wait staff couldn't have been more hospitable. He came to the table after we were done with our entrees and asked us about our experience. He even comped a dessert for us to try!!

I was thoroughly impressed by how fresh the vegetables and Pad Thai were. You could tell it was freshly cooked to order, and hadn't been just re-heated. The owners also did an execellent job with the space they had bought and had decorated it very nicely.

We have been back several times for the lunch buffet and have also been impressed with how fresh the buffet is. The dishes on the buffet are as 'fresh' as ordering right from the menu! How many times can you say that about a buffett?

Glad to have a great Thai restaurant back in Golden Valley, even comes close to my favorite Pan Asian restuarant that used to exist years ago (also in GV) August Moon.

The prices are extremely reasonable and the food can't be beat (and it is better than 1st of Thai in Plymouth).

On Monday, April 12, 2010, I ate at Nong's Thai Cuisine for the fifth time since their Grand Opening in February 2010. I knew that I couldn't continue eating there without stopping to write a positive review that they are so well-deserving of!

The thing I like best is that the dishes are always consistent. Each of the times I've been there everything I tasted was just as good or better than the previous visit. There is no hit-and-miss with Nong's!

My favorite Thai dish is "Drunken Noodles". I do also always try anything my wife orders, so I have tasted many of the other dishes! I've had drunken noodles at many different Thai restaurants. The drunken noodles at Nong's, however, take the cake. Nong's drunken noodles are fresh and full of flavor. When your done, your not left with a greasy plate and a heavy stomach.

Aside from their great food, the ambiance of the restaurant is extremely inviting. The colors and decor are cozy and up-to-date. The booths and tables are comfortable and the whole restaurant is very clean, even down to the restrooms. There is nothing worse then dining out and having to visit a filthy restroom. At Nong's things are well attended to!

The staff and management are also extremely friendly at Nong's. Even when they have a crowd, our various servers were always very polite and took very good care of us. Paul, one of the owners, is such a warm and inviting individual! He is always quick to recognize and welcome my wife and I, and has even pulled up a chair to visit with us and my family from out-of-state when we brought them to Nong's.

Local family-owned restaurants come and go. They are also easy to miss or simply pass by. It would be a shame not to visit and support such a gem of a place! I'd encourage you to visit Nong's Thai Cuisine very soon, I'm sure you will be quite impressed!

Nong's is great. We're big lovers of Thai food, and Nong's delivered.

We had the Red Curry with Tofo and the Tamarind Stir Fry w/chicken. Both were excellent. Plenty of flavor and the right amount of tasty spice.

I recommend Nong's for anyone looking for good, affordable Thai food!

Only been once, but everything was really good. I like that they use fresh Thai chilis to spice things up instead of dried flakes. The prices are very reasonable. All the flavors were excellent and authentic. I was particularly impressed with their Thai sausage. Also, the laab nua was perfect. Nice atmosphere and family friendly, especially with young tots.

I've been to Nong's 3 times since they opened in February of 2010, and every experience has been excellent! The food tastes very fresh and you can tell its made to order, even the fried rices, etc. The Pad Thai is one of the best I've had in the cities and the pineapple fried rice is excellent, I want to have it every time I'm there, but there is so much else to try!! The stir frys are fresh and flavorfull without being doused in sauces. I would highly recommend Nong's if you're in the area!

We dined there for the first time this weekend. The restaurant was very clean; decor was tasteful and pleasant, and the wait staff was attentive, pleasant and helpful. The menu is an extensive array of authentic Thai dishes, making our choices was difficult as everything sounded so appealing. Our party of four shared three appetizers, four entrees and two desserts; all were beautifuly presented, prepared quickly and unbelievably delicious.

If you don't know the neighborhood, it might be hard for you to find, it's a bit hidden. Use your GPS, Google Maps, ask directions, phone a friend, do whatever it takes, but find it! You will not be disappointed.

I'm one who finds most dining experiences to be too heavy or bland; disappointing in some way. Nong's Made Me Happy! It was the best food and one of the nicest dining experiences I've had in years.

Having moved to MN from Chicago, where Thai restaurants are as ubiquitous as stop signs, I have sometimes been overwhelmed by Thai food cravings that have had me near tears! Well, no longer!! Nong's saved me!

Nong's is authentic Thai food! They do not make any attempt to serve food from a myriad of Asian countries (Japan, China, Korea and Viet Nam) like most other Thai restaurants in Minneapolis.

We had traditional entrees of Pad Thai and Red Curry Chicken. They were fantastic! The food was high quality, very fresh and it came out quickly. The kitchen and servers were amenable to all of our little food quirks and requests. The only thing we'd add to the menu would be the cucumber relish as a side dish, because the (complimentary) taste we asked for only left us wanting more!

The service was impeccable! The decor and atmosphere was perfect; gorgeous dark wood beams and accents, vibrant colors, soft Thai music and even a working fireplace.

I highly reccommend Nong's and will be back....at least once a week!
